Deploys ands configures Windows XP and Vista workstations for a legal and economics user base. Configures and maintains network and local printers, scanners, plotters, Blackberry devices and other computer peripherals. Provides daily call tracking entries in CFTC’s Footprints call tracking software and plans for known projects and user needs. Troubleshoots various software problems of the CFTC user community including but not limited to problems with Microsoft Office Professional 2003/2007, Adobe Acrobat 8, Outlook, E Copy and other productivity software, installs and configures specialty software programs used in CFTC’s program list including SAS, CardScan, Nice Player, Copy, MS Communicator and others. Administered the NHGRI local area network consisting of 600 users in a campus setting of six separate buildings. Deployed ands configured Windows XP and Windows 2000 workstations for a scientific clinical user base. Configured and maintained network and local printers, scanners, Blackberry devices and other computer peripherals. Worked with NHGRI labs to hookup, configure and troubleshoot various scientific hardware that use computers as control devices. Created new Active Directory computer/user accounts and assigned permissions for those accounts based on Microsoft best practices. Provided daily call tracking entries in NIH’s Remedy call tracking software. Troubleshooted various software problems of the NHGRI user community including but not limited to problems with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Filemaker Pro, Meeting Maker and other productivity software.
